Two brothers, one dream, ten restaurants

Tirlochn and Paramjit Mand left Punjab in 1992 with family recipes and a stubborn belief that bold, authentic cooking could find a home anywhere. Sizzle Street in Waconia is the latest chapter of that decades-long journey.

Tirlochn and Paramjit Mand left Punjab in 1992, learning the craft alongside their elder brother — absorbing the heat of the tandoor and the patience of a long simmer. That apprenticeship planted the seed for everything that followed.

One restaurant becomes ten

In 2003 they opened India Palace in Minnesota on family recipes and relentless work. What began as a single kitchen grew into ten locations across several states — proof that genuine cooking keeps people coming back.

Waconia finds its flavor

Sizzle Street brought those Punjabi traditions to a lakeside town thirty-five miles west of Minneapolis — chicken makhani simmered to velvety depth, crispy samosas, and garlic naan that's become something of a local legend.

A small town's favorite table

Curious first-timers quickly became regulars who'd drive across the county — returning again and again for the gulab jamun, the makhani, and the warmth of a room where they're genuinely welcomed.
